Liquids: containers of 100 ml or less, all inside one transparent resealable 1 litre bag. Baby food, medication and sealed duty free purchases are exempt.
Power banks and batteries
Lithium batteries travel in the cabin, never in the hold. Since 2025 most carriers also ban using or charging a power bank during the flight.

Checked baggage
ANA counts pieces, and unusually the fare you buy does not change how many you get. Every branded fare from Super Value to Flex gives two bags in Economy, Premium Economy and Business, and three in First. Economy and Premium Economy bags are 23 kg each, Business and First 32 kg.

ANA is the rare airline where the fare does not decide the baggage. Super Value, Special, Value, Basic and Flex all carry the same bags; what the money buys is changes, refunds and seat selection.

This is the ladder for fares departing Japan. ANA's general baggage page puts Economy at anywhere from none to two pieces, because tickets sold in other markets follow their own fare rules. Every bag is capped at 158 cm including wheels and handle, and ANA warns that a bag inside that limit may still be refused where the aircraft has no cargo space. ANA changed the published size of the under-seat personal item to 40 x 30 x 20 cm on 1 July 2026, which is smaller than many airlines allow, so a bag that fits elsewhere may not fit here.

Book special items online before travel. Airport prices are higher than the same allowance bought online, and hold space is first come, first served.
Check-in and bag drop deadlines

If your bag does not arrive
Delayed and damaged bags follow a strict clock. Most claims fail because the report was made after leaving the airport.
Report before you leave the hall
Go to the ANA (All Nippon Airways) baggage services desk in the arrivals baggage hall. You get a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) with a 10 character reference. Without it there is no claim.

Use the reference and your surname on the ANA (All Nippon Airways) baggage tracing page. Most delayed bags arrive within 48 hours and are delivered to your address free of charge.

Essentials bought while the bag is missing can be claimed. Damage must be reported within 7 days, delayed bag expenses within 21 days of delivery, under the Montreal Convention.
